Our unique service enables us to rename the manorial title prior to it being conveyed to you. This means that you have tremendous freedom in the choice of name. From within our online application form, you will be able to enter your own particular choice of title. We will do all we can to be able to accommodate you. If your choice is unavailable or unsuitable, we will email you for an alternative suggestion. In all cases, it is helpful if you can email us a few suggestions in addition to your entry on the application form.
Please Note:
Whilst we can provide most names, which you will be able to legally use, names which break with tradition appear phony, if you use such a name you may not be taken seriously.
1/ A manorial name should not claim a whole county. Traditionally manorial estates were relatively small. If you had the title of, 'Count or Countess', you might have a whole county named after you; such as, 'Count of Buckinghamshire', but these are not manorial names!
2/ No Cities or big towns. If you want your title to be taken seriously it is best not to have a huge town or city as your manorial name, unless you have the rest of the image to compliment the name, (Rolls Royce, Mansion House etcetera).
3/ Manorial names which are rooted in a family name are often fine, as are names of small local areas. Try to avoid modern names or names which are estranged from British tradition.
